"Australia's annual premiere youth conference"

The UN Youth Australia National Conference is a week-long residential program, bringing together students from across Australia and New Zealand to engage in discussions on global affairs.
Through thought-provoking workshops, hearing from expert speakers, Model UN debates, crisis simulations, social activities, and more, participants explore complex international issues that extend beyond the traditional school curriculum. The conference fosters critical thinking, leadership, and developing lifelong friendships with like-minded young leaders.
National Conference is held in a different Australian capital city annually. In 2025, the event will take place in Adelaide, South Australia, from Sunday, 6 July, to Saturday, 12 July.
2025 THEME
Galactic Governance: Navigating the Space Age
The education plan will follow the ideas and principles outlined in “The Space2030 Agenda” developed by the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses and the Outer Space the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) in order to promote space as a driver of sustainable development. In doing so, it will utilise the Agenda’s four core principles:
Delegates will learn what it takes to build the industries of tomorrow, including the challenges and the promises of the ever-evolving space industry. Delegates will discover how they can contribute to space innovation and its application in solving some of humanity’s most existential crises.
Delegates will examine how space technology, services, and applications can improve quality of life. Delegates will learn about the development of innovative solutions to space-related challenges and in turn present their own ideas about tackling real-world problems in a hands-on activity.
Delegates will explore economic and policy barriers that are present in the space sector, and understand why space remains an inaccessible field for many across the globe. Delegates will engage in problem-solving activities and act as international policy-makers to ensure a fairer space sector for all.
Delegates will hear from experts on the importance of building partnerships and international cooperation in the peaceful use of outer space and global space governance. Delegates will simulate the UN General Assembly, working together to discuss and develop ideas to address global challenges in space.
Delegates will engage with Indigenous leaders to explore Australia’s unique connection to the cosmos. Delegates will read Dreamtime Stories and familiarize themselves with Indigenous perspectives on space, fostering a deeper appreciation for Australia’s cultural heritage.
