The Board of UN Youth Australia · Independent Board Director
With a strong focus on the not for profit sector, Rebecca has significant experience working for both a national peak body and a state peak body. She has assisted and overseen the risk management, compliance, governance to the Board, human resources, and workforce development functions of Volunteering Australia and Volunteering ACT, respectively.
Rebecca is a massive advocate for volunteers, the broader volunteering sector and more specifically the impact and value of young people in today’s society. She was drawn to the idea of an organisation which is youth-lead and aims to empower young Australians on global issues. Rebecca also sits on the Board of The Youth Coalition of the ACT.
Rebecca has completed a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in business management and human resource management at the University of Canberra, and a Certificate of Governance and Risk Management at the Governance Institute of Australia. Rebecca brings a breadth of knowledge of the volunteering sector and more broadly the community sector in Australia.
