The Board of UN Youth Australia · Chair of the Human Resources Committee
Maneesha has been involved as a member of UN Youth since 2017. Since then, she has been the Director of Human Resources for NSW, the Chief International Operations Officer in 2019 and was recently elected to be part of the Board for a one-year term. She loves volunteering with UN Youth because she gets to help empower high school students to voice their concerns about their world and create social change, alongside many inspiring and passionate people.
As a part of the Board, Maneesha hopes to further UN Youth’s strategic development and maturation as an organisation. She aims to assist in reforming the organisation’s welfare structure and risk management strategies, in light of the new challenges the organisation faces in relation to COVID-19. In particular, she is looking forward to making progress on the organisation’s diversity, reconciliation and accessibility efforts.
Maneesha is about to commence her sixth year of her lifelong Law/International Studies degree at the University of New South Wales, majoring in International Relations. In her spare time, you’ll find Maneesha asleep, planning holidays she can’t yet afford or watching documentaries that are either featuring war, sport or politics.
