Our Volunteers

Karina (she/her) has served as the Chief Education Officer since 2023, coordinating and producing content for all UN Youth events, workshops and school-visits. Karina sits as the Chair of the National Education Committee.

Karina’s Message:

Hey! My name is Karina (she/her) and I’m 20 years old, based out of North-West Sydney. I’m the Chief Education Officer for 2023 which means I get to coordinate and help produce content for UN Youth events and activities around Australia. I am passionate about developing our educational content and competition rules to help foster inclusive spaces where young, diverse voices are centred, supported and heard.This is my seventh year being involved with UN Youth, after attending my first summit as a delegate in Year 9. As a delegate, this organisation gave me the opportunity to think differently and learn about topics that aren’t traditionally focused on in schools, which helped me develop my social and cultural literacy.Outside of UN Youth, I study Secondary Education and Arts and I’m a manager at a coaching college. Apart from education, I love binging tv shows, reading, and playing social sports. I also love exploring new places to try different food with mates, and one of my top rated skills is sleeping on all forms of public transport.
