Jo Barry-Murphy

As National Secretary, Jo oversees UN Youth’s administrative, governance and data management practices. Jo has been involved in UN Youth for a number of years and has previously filled the positions of SA President in 2020, SA Secretary in 2019 and Voice SA Convenor in 2018. She is passionate about the power of peer-to-peer education and the unique ways UN Youth engages young people in global issues, having experienced the value of these opportunities herself as a delegate.
Outside of UN Youth, Jo studies and works at the University of Adelaide and is in her fourth year of a Law/Arts (Politics and International Relations) degree. She also produces Adelaide’s Rocky Horror Picture Show Shadow Cast, which performs alongside a screening of the film every Friday 13th. In her downtime, Jo can be found making the most of Adelaide’s incredible arts and festival scene.
