The Board of UN Youth Australia · Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee
Prior to being becoming a member of the Board, James was UN Youth Australia’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and before that, he was Victorian Treasurer for two years and a member of the National Finance Committee (NFC). Outside of finance, he convened Victoria’s inaugural Crisis Point and was convenor for YDT 2021 until COVID-19 got in the way of that sadly. He also been an active volunteer within the Victorian division over the past three years and has attended two National Activities.
James recently completed a double degree in Accounting and International Relations at Monash University. Outside of the UN Youth, he works in the Assurance division of Australia’s largest professional services firm. He is also an avid soccer fan and closely follows Liverpool and Melbourne Victory. James also loves to travel (like most people in the UN Youth).
James is excited to become a member of the board to help drive the strategic direction of UN Youth. Over the next two years, James looks forward to helping drive innovation within UN Youth and continuing to improve financial and risk management practices across the organisation. Doing so, James believes that it will go a long way to helping to allow UN Youth to continue to engage and empower more young Australians to lead change.
