Georgia Smith
New South Wales · Director of Communications
When did you get involved with UN Youth? I first got involved with UN Youth as a delegate at the NSW State Conference when I was in Year 10, it was a window into a whole new world of opportunities, and I’ve been a big UN Youth fan since then! I was part of the State Conference 2021 organising committee, Voice Competition 2021 organising committee and was fortunate enough to be elected as the 2022 Communications Director for NSW!
Why are you involved with UN Youth? As a delegate, UN Youth provided me with an opportunity to learn and debate in an engaging way I had never experienced outside of an academic setting. Safe to say, I was hooked. After graduating, I trained to become a facilitator right away so that I could play even a minor role in helping empower young people and help them feel as if their voices are heard.
