The Board of UN Youth Australia · Chair of the Board Finance & Audit Committee
Ann first encountered UN Youth in 2010 when she participated in the Junior Public Speaking Competition, the predecessor to the Voice Competition. The highlights of her time as a delegate include winning the Evatt Model UN Competition National Finals and participating in an international activity to Europe.
Over the past decade, UN Youth has provided an opportunity to develop skills in everything from diplomacy and advocacy, to event management, to corporate governance. After volunteering within the NSW Division for three years, Anne served on the National Executive in the Education and Domestic Operations portfolios. Most recently, she was Chair of the Board in 2019.
Anne joined the Board due to her interest in guiding the strategic direction of the organisation. She has had the opportunity to further our Foundation bursary program and help to produce our 2019 Annual Report.
Currently, she is helping to oversee the Voice Public Speaking Competition National Finals and enjoys the problem solving and creativity required to transition the event to a fully online model.
Outside of UN Youth, Anne recently completed a Bachelor of Arts (Politics)/Law (Honours) degree at the University of New South Wales. She spent her final semester on exchange in Stockholm and is now working full time in international arbitration law. She was also a member of the Randwick Council Youth Advisory Committee for five years.
