The Evatt Competition

Where debating meets diplomacy, negotiation and strategy, The Evatt Model United Nations Competition (Evatt) immerses young people into the world of peace and security on the international stage.

UN Security Council

Simulating a session in the UN Security Council, delegates (participants) work in teams of two to represent one of the fifteen member states in negotiations to settle threats to global peace.

Real-world Problems

Equipped with evidence-based strategy, it’s time to cross the chamber floor to debate, amend and vote on resolutions to solve real world problems.

Register for the Queensland Competition with preliminary rounds occurring across June and July. Specific dates in the registration form.

The South Australian competition is holding its preliminary rounds between August 5 to 17, and is brought to you in partnership with Flinders University

Western Australia

The Western Australia competition is running from the end of July, until the Grand Final in September. Rounds are located all over the Perth metropolitan and outer metropolitan suburbs, as well as regional areas across WA.

Register for the Victorian Competition with over 20 rounds from July 20 to August 25. Preliminary rounds are hosted in inner metro, outer metro, and regional areas.

The Voice Competition

The Voice Competition (Voice) transforms traditional public speaking into a problem-solving competition that invites students in Years 7 to 10 to tackle issues that affect your community, country, and the world.

From homelessness to climate change, we challenge you to think outside the box and put your design thinking skills to the test in order to develop innovative and creative, yet feasible, solutions to real-world problems.

Western Australia

All rounds will be hybrid rounds with call-in options available for regional delegates and those with accessibility requirements. In-person attendance is preferred for students who are in metro areas.

Crisis Point

Crisis Point is a whole-day interactive problem-solving simulation that puts delegates (students) in the shoes of key diplomats and stakeholders to solve global security and humanitarian crises.

Broking solutions in real-time to a crisis that evolves depending on the actions you take, delegates collaborate in their teams, utilising their teamwork, negotiation and creative-thinking skills to represent their own interests while compromising in the collaboration with other stakeholders.

New South Wales

This event will take place on Saturday 20th of July at the University of Technology, Sydney, for students in Years 9 -12 in 2024.

The event will take place on June 29 from 1pm - 4:45pm at Vincent Community Centre in Leederville.

FunMUN

Fun MUN allows students to participate in MUN (Model United Nations) without the pressure of competition, in a more casual and fun (hence the name) environment.

This event is suitable for high school students with any level of experience and is a great way to refine your skills in diplomacy & debating.

This event will be held on Sunday, 21 July 2024 from 1pm to 5pm at Centenary Park Community Centre, Belmont. It is open to all students in Years 7 to 12
