All of our programs are organised and run by volunteers under the age of 25. We run innovative workshops, conferences, competitions and national peak events. UN Youth Australia also runs in-school programs and workshops by request.

NSW Negotiations Competition

The NSW Negotiations Competition is a new UN Youth diplomacy and negotiation competition that immerses students in the role of state negotiators finding practicable solutions to important international disputes. By diving deeply into the complex details of high-stakes crises', then working to satisfy the interest of their government as well as find a mutually agreeable solution in the negotiation, delegates will develop their creativity, problem solving, communication skills and teamwork as well as meet a great array of like-minded friends.

Evatt Queensland is the state’s round of the Evatt Trophy - Australia’s largest, oldest, and most prestigious debating and diplomacy competition, with over 2000 students competing from every State and Territory.

Evatt Victoria

Evatt Victoria is the state round of Australia’s premier debating and diplomacy competition. Evatt places young Australians in the shoes of UN Security Council representatives, making them debate on issues of international security, human rights and current affairs. Students in Years 9-12 compete in teams of two from their own school. The competition takes the form of a simulated UN Security Council, where teams debate, amend and vote on a resolution prepared by our facilitators from the perspective of one of the Security Council’s member states.
