All of our programs are organised and run by volunteers under the age of 25. We run innovative workshops, conferences, competitions and national peak events. UN Youth Australia also runs in-school programs and workshops by request.

Junior Leadership Weekend 2017

Territory Conference

Territory Conference is a weekend long event that brings together high school students from across the ACT and surrounds to explore and discuss issues facing the global diplomatic community today. Run entirely by young people for young people, this conference is an opportunity for ACT students to engage in workshops, speaker sessions, problem-solving programs, and also act as a diplomat for a United Nations Member State during mock General Assembly debates.

State Conference WA

State Conference is a weekend-long residential camp which is open to all students in Years 10 to 12. It is a fantastic opportunity to learn about international affairs, diplomacy and the operations of the United Nations, all while making new friends from across the state. Evatt Victoria

Evatt Victoria is the state round of Australia’s premier debating and diplomacy competition. Evatt places young Australians in the shoes of UN Security Council representatives, making them debate on issues of international security, human rights and current affairs. Students in Years 9-12 compete in teams of two from their own school. The competition takes the form of a simulated UN Security Council, where teams debate, amend and vote on a resolution prepared by our facilitators from the perspective of one of the Security Council’s member states.
