UN Youth Victoria is looking for a Secretary to join its 2021 Executive!
UN Youth Victoria is the Victorian division of UN Youth Australia, a national youth-led organisation that aims to educate and empower young Australians on global issues facing the world. Our broad range of sector-leading peer-education programs educate over 15,000 young Australians each year from across every state and territory.
The Secretary is responsible for non-financial record-keeping and governance. Their role is to assist the President in facilitating communication of the work of the Executive with the broader organisation. Their duties include preparing minutes at General and Executive meetings, meeting certain government reporting requirements, and other administrative roles that may be delegated to them by the Executive from time to time.
This is a volunteer role with an average time commitment of 6-8 hours per week. No prior experience with UN Youth, or knowledge of the United Nations, is required. Applicants must be between 18 and 25 years of age.
