Victoria Schools Director
Closes: 24 November
UN Youth Victoria is looking for a Schools Director to join its 2021 Executive!
UN Youth Victoria is the Victorian division of UN Youth Australia, a national youth-led organisation that aims to educate and empower young Australians on global issues facing the world. Our broad range of sector-leading peer-education programs educate over 15,000 young Australians each year from across every state and territory.
The Schools Director is tasked with organising and directing our school visits and developing the content for these programs, with the support of the National Education Committee. They are also responsible for adapting our long-term education strategy as it pertains to outreach to low-socioeconomic schools, gaps in our content, and use of technology to supplement our programs. They are expected to collaborate with other members of UN Youth Australia and our partner organisations to ensure that our content is up-to-date and relevant to current affairs, as well as in touch with the Victorian school curriculum.
This is a volunteer role with an average time commitment of 10-15 hours per week. No prior experience with UN Youth, or knowledge of the United Nations, is required. Applicants must be between 18 and 25 years of age.
