UN Youth Victoria is looking for a Communications Director to join its 2021 Executive!
UN Youth Victoria is the Victorian division of UN Youth Australia, a national youth-led organisation that aims to educate and empower young Australians on global issues facing the world. Our broad range of sector-leading peer-education programs educate over 15,000 young Australians each year from across every state and territory.
The Communications Director is responsible for developing and implementing our marketing strategy, and promoting growth and outreach in our work. Their primary responsibility is to effectively pitch our programs to an audience of new and existing delegates, through social media, school and other channels. The Communications Director is also chiefly responsible for managing our online resources – such as the website, our mailing list software, and all our social media accounts. They are also responsible for supporting other members of the division with collateral to ensure brand compliance and effective design across the organisation.
This is a volunteer role with an average time commitment of 10 hours per week. No prior experience with UN Youth, or knowledge of the United Nations, is required. Applicants must be between 18 and 25 years of age.
