New South Wales Online Facilitator Training
Location: New South Wales
Closes: 14 November
Becoming a volunteer with UN Youth NSW is a great way to gain valuable skills, get involved in the not-for-profit sector, and work with young like-minded people. In addition to facilitating events, our volunteers are involved in project management, research and content writing, and external outreach. Our network spans across NGOs, government, corporate, and educational institutions, giving our volunteers the opportunity to network with professionals and experts across various fields and to develop competencies in highly-sought after soft-skills.
Even in a Covid-19 world, there are so many opportunities available for you in UN Youth once you have completed your facilitator training, like judging our debating and public speaking competitions and facilitating at State Conference! In a post-Covid-19 world, there’ll be even more opportunities, such as taking part in international and domestic trips. Among all of these opportunities, you will grow a network of life-long friendships as you work alongside like-minded people.
Our next training day is Saturday 14 November and there will be two training sessions run on this day! You only need to attend one of them, so feel free to attend the one that works the best for you. The registration form will ask you to select which training session you would like to attend and you’ll be automatically enrolled in that session.
Given the restrictions on indoor gatherings as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic, these sessions will be conducted online via Zoom, meaning you can participate from wherever you are! This does, however, mean that you will require access to a computer with a working microphone and webcam so that you can operate Zoom for the duration of your training session. Please also note that the cost of registration is $10.00 per person.
You’ll need to become a member of UN Youth NSW and have a valid Working With Children Check, but you can find all the details about that on the Training Day Registration Form.
