Human Rights Summit 2017

Our ever-popular day forum, with a focus on Human Rights.

HRS 2017: Unseen, Unheard, Underground.
In 2017, our summit explored the human rights abuses surrounding Slavery and Human Trafficking. Students had the opportunity to discuss the murky waters surrounding modern day slavery, and hear from experts and academics who have spent their lives examining and fighting for the rights of victims of Human Trafficking.

What is Human Rights Summit?

Human Rights Summit invites high-school students from around South Australia to spend a day exploring the world of diplomacy and international affairs, and their relation to human rights.

Throughout engaging workshops, interactive problem solving challenges and an awesome line-up of guest speakers, students tackled the big questions, and had loads of fun hearing from others and broadening their opinions.

HRS has been and gone for 2017, but be sure to have a look at our Voice competition if you want to get involved!
