Governance Summit 2022

May 7 2022 | 9am – 4pm | NEXUS 10 Building, Adelaide university

A one-day conference exploring governance through interactive workshops and activities.

Our first Summit for 2022 is looking at GOVERNANCE. Through interactive workshops, an expert speakers panel and an exciting global crisis simulation, delegates learned about the role of governance from a smaller scale, communities, to a much larger one: the nation.

Disability Justice Summit 2021

August 20 2021 | 9am – 4pm | AHMS Building, 4 North Terrace

Held in the city of Adelaide, UN Youth SA’s Disability Justice Summit saw students from across South Australia come together to discuss how shaping our global societies to recognise disability rights can make our world inclusive and accessible.

At the Disability Justice Summit, Delegates (high-school students!) learned about the work being done to elevate disability justice through domestic and international law. Through a series of interactive and educational activities, delegates had the opportunity to critically discuss the work of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) as well as their own role in committing to disability justice.

The summit unpacked key ideas of discrimination, ableism and exclusion in both an Australian and global context. Delegates were encouraged to re-evaluate the significance of inclusion, accessibility and disability rights in the context of their world.
