Our Young Leaders Summits are one day conferences held all across Australia. They focus on a particular issue, and aim to deal with it with the depth and nuance they deserve.

UN Youth Australia aims to allow young people to explore and engage with the most important issues facing our world.

Our Young Leader Summits are designed to educate and empower young people to explore and engage with prevalent political and social justice issues. They focus on a wide range of topics that young people are interested in, from gender to geopolitics.

Summits equip participants with the knowledge and skills to become change-makers in their communities and to be able to contribute meaningfully and insightfully to current political discourse.

Our next summit:

Join us for a day of workshops and simulations exploring the laws, politics and ethics of space exploration!

Our first Summit for 2022 looked at GOVERNANCE and its role from a smaller scale, communities, to a much larger one: the nation.

In September, you will be able to explore space through interactive workshops, an expert speakers panel and an exciting global crisis simulation.

We’ll learn about how international relations spurred the development of space technology, explore the role that Australia might play in the future of space, and discuss ways of exploring space ethically and sustainably.

The day’s crisis simulation will let you step into the shoes of world leaders, both governmental and corporate, as they compete for space domination.

Combining science and politics, this is a day for those who are passionate about space and all its potential – no matter your knowledge or experience level. You’ll meet likeminded, passionate young people from around your state!
