Mackay Conference

The Mackay Regional Conference aims to give students in North Queensland a unique educational opportunity to participate in workshops and activities focused on issues of international and national importance.

This two day, non-residential event, open to students in years 9 to 12, will be held on Saturday the 3rd of August and Sunday the 4th of August. It will host workshops designed to improve diplomacy and leadership skills, and activities designed to encourage thought-provoking discussion about global issues, diplomacy, and international relations. It will be held at Whitsunday Anglican School.

This year, the theme of the event is ‘Unheard Voices: Standing Up for Your Rights’

Mackay Conference is designed for students with varying interests, experiences, and abilities. No previous knowledge of international affairs, or MUN debating, is necessary.
