“We know now that without gender equality and a full role for women in society, in the economy, in governance, we will not be able to achieve the world we hoped for.”
– Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, Executive Director, UN Women
This year, UN Youth Australia’s Gender Equality Summit will bring together young Australians in four cities to explore issues of gender equality and inequality in the community at home and abroad.
The Gender Equality Summit is a full-day event for students in Years 9 – 12, held across Australia during March and April.
You’ll take part in interactive workshop sessions to learn about the history of gender rights and how to be part of a global movement for gender equality.
Plus, you’ll meet likeminded, passionate young people from around your state. It’ll be a fun-filled, inspiring day – and we don’t want you to miss out.
The registration fee covers all activities, food and venue costs. If cost is a barrier to your attendance to the event, please contact the relevant person for your state (see right).
The Gender Equality Summit is open to all high school students in Years 9 – 12.
