About Evatt

Evatt QLD is the state’s round of the largest UN Security Council Competition in Australia. The competition is open to students in years 9-12 from all over the Brisbane metropolitan and outer metropolitan suburbs, as well as regional areas.

During rounds, students debate, amend, and vote on resolutions prepared by our volunteers, all the while pushing their nation’s agenda. The top 15 teams from across the state are selected to represent their school at the State Final, which has previously been held at Parliament House in Brisbane. The top 5 teams from the State Final will go on and represent their school and state at the Evatt National Finals held each December in a different capital city.
