Pacific Project Applications Closing Soon

By · 20 August, 2013 · News

Applications for UN Youth Australia’s Pacific Project are closing on September 3! The project is a once-in-a-lifetime grassroots development tour exploring East Timor.

“Pacific Project was a once in a lifetime experience that changed my perspective of the world around me forever. The beautiful culture and wonderful spirit in Timor was remarkable. I would recommend it to everyone who wants to get hands on experience with community projects, make new friends and have a great time doing it.”

Daniel Hellig-Smith, Pacific Project participant, 2013

Pacific Project is a 12 month initiative working closely with local East Timorese organisations to support underprivileged young people in one of our closest pacific neighbours. You’ll be leading fundraising initiatives with a team of talented young Australians, and participating in an unforgettable 2 week trip of East Timor during the June-July school holidays.

Project participants visit Timorese development initiatives, NGOs working to help disadvantaged young people and spend time in living in local communities.

If you’re going into years 10, 11 or 12 (or know someone who is) we want you to apply! All the information is available online here. Applications close September 3, don’t miss out!
