Evatt Queensland Registrations for 2013 are now open!
Evatt Queensland is the state’s round of the Australian UN Security Council Competition. Evatt is the largest high schools debating competition in Australia, with over 1500 students competing from every State and Territory.
Evatt places young Australians in Years 10 -12 in the shoes of UN Security Council representatives, giving them a deeper understanding of global issues and training them in the skills they need for active citizenship. Teams debate international issues, ranging from the Israel-Palestine crisis to genocide in Darfur. Evatt is designed for students with varying interests, experiences and abilities. Thus, no previous knowledge of international affairs, or MUN experience is necessary.
