Join the Evatt Victoria Organising Team!

Applications are open for the Evatt Victoria Organising Committee, the group responsible for organising Australia’s largest Model UN competition.

In 2013, Evatt Victoria will hold UN Security Council debates for more than 1,000 secondary school students across the state. Interest will be high as Australia takes its seat on the Security Council, so we expect the competition to be especially intense!

We are presently seeking Associate Directors and Assistant Directors to serve in the portfolios of MarketingOutreachContent, and Judging. You can find detailed position descriptions here. All positions will be compensated with a small stipend.

Evatt Victoria requires a lot of (very fun) work from its organising team, including writing resolutions for the delegates to debate, reaching out to schools and students across the state, adjudicating the Evatt debates themselves, and planning Evatt in Schools, our school-based Evatt rounds.

These positions require a small but steady commitment, ramping up by degrees until August, which is when we run our 28 metropolitan rounds. All volunteers will access the varied perquisites of taking on a leadership role in UN Youth Victoria!

If you would be interested in helping to organise Evatt Victoria, please contact the Director, Alec Webley, at evattvic@unyouth.org.au with a statement of your interest and experience, before December 19 2012.
